The 2017 KTM Duke?

The prototypes are in India and development is underway, but what are they even up to?

The export papers read "390 Duke MY17" but if KTM behaves are normal MY17 should be launched as early as July/August 2016. Visordown says the engine displacement will remain unchanged, which has them predicting changes to the chassis and styling.

Some sources seem to think that KTM will debut the new bike at this year's EICMA.

A slight digression, but KTM has said that e-bikes will be a large part of their future, I wonder if they would consider a Duke or RC e-ride?

Speaking of RC, what does the new Duke mean for the RC? Its logical that the RC will receive the same updates considering they share architecture, but what would the time frame look like? Already the RC is 2 years post Duke, but I doubt KTM would leave that much delta between the models, production logistics will probably dictate that...

Not even sure what they would need to change going into 2017 on the RC, but i'm looking forward to what exactly those changes will be.

Looking forward to what they'll bring to EICMA 2015.

Well, from the one photo I can already see rear indicators displaced to the back of the fender.

Whatever they do, I just hope they move the coolant reservoir to the other side of the tank. Bastards are already draining some of those fluids here in india..

Dealer has an old stock 2015 Duke 390.
Would it be safe to grab one?
I don't want to get one and KTM release an massive upgrade on the 2017?

When KTM do release new bike normally?
