RaceDynamics PowerTronic v1 map library

Hi Everyone,

This thread has been created to allow the sharing of maps used by your PowerTronic v1 piggyback ECU module. If you have a developed a map & would like to share it with others, this is the place to do it. To keep this topic friendly & open, yet serious enough ('coz we are adjusting things that could lead to engine problems) I think we should follow these guidelines:

1).. Please DO NOT post maps developed by commercial sources like MNNTHBX, HardRacing etc. Those guys have spent their own time & money developing maps for their customers so it would be wrong for them to be pirated here. If you found the map available on another internet source, please credit the source.

2).. There are no warranties associated with any maps posted here. Everyone uses them at their own risk.

3).. When you upload a map to share, please ensure you have the following information in your post:

- Build year of your Duke or RC.
- Your country.
- Octane of fuel being used by you when you developed the map.
- Stock or aftermarket exhaust ? If aftermarket, which one ?
- Stock or aftermarker air filter. ? If aftermarket, which one ?
- Stock or aftermarket airbox lid ? If aftermarket, which one ?
- Have the map values been input manually or by using an autotune feature ?
- List any other modifications to your engine.
- Is this map for fuel only, or fuel & ignition ?
- Your impression of the performance you found using this map, like "Pulls strongly from low revs through midrange" or "Good for track use but not really for the street".

4).. Maps should be compressed (zipped-up) & attached to your post so they can be easily downloaded by other forum members.

Thanks

The ZIP file contains both Stock and High Octane maps that I obtained from RaceDynamics. The Stock map came with the ECU and was backed up by me before switching maps. The High Octane map was developed by the RD Malaysian Race Team on the track. The switch to the latter made sense to me due to my liberal love of WOT applications and use of 98 octane unleaded fuel, which has worked wonderfully for me so far. I could really feel the difference when I switched to the High Octane map in how quick my bike responded to throttle inputs.

- 2014/03 390 Duke
- Australia
- 98
- Stock Exhaust
- DNA Race Air Filter
- Stock Airbox Lid
- Manually
- None
- Fuel & Ignition
- Throttle response is more instant, engine smoother still than with the stock map

Great initiative malJohann !

Have you compared the high octane map with any of the other maps previously supplied by RD ?

Great idea to initiate such a thread , especially as RD is allegedly working on a new Powertronics version with onboard map switch button . It will be great to be able to pick from many different custom build map versions .

It was the initiative of @The Mariner, I just copied and modified the text from one of his threads.

Truthfully, I never manually checked the High Octane map against the base map, but I could feel the difference. YMMV.

That would be great, but admittedly I'm looking at something else in the future so I can do closed loop tuning too.

Mal, could you post a link to their software? I'd like to look at those maps, but unlike Bazzaz they don't seem to offer it on their website.

Maps work with the software that came with the unit , not with software provided on their site

Yep, I'm getting an "error reading file" message.
Can you post the other file?

Same issue.

The maps don't load on the software provided on their website.
I asked for the High Octane map for mine, just wanted to check it out.

Anyone got a copy of the software on the CD that is provided? I don't have a CD-ROM in any of my machines

Also if I try and connect the Powertronic with the supplied cable and the newest software from the website, I can't connect, comes up with an error "Error connecting to ECU"

I've emailed RaceDymanics too, see if they can assist
