For now i have put up the accelerator cable that snapped ... i am lucky that this happened at home.

Starting off with the previous image of damaged accelerator cable. this occurred about a year into purchase and after KTM cup event... and luckily the cable snapped at home.. it took about a an hour to source the part and to install it another hour. Be careful while installing it on the throttle housing (the thing that has the starter button and "headlight on switch" pre 2016 version).

When installing on the housing :
Note: install the cable lock nut on the throttle housing with light pressure or else the threading in it is of plastic and can easily wear down. the other end that goes to the throttle body has a sliding lock. ( take a careful look of the image above).

it is easy to install the clutch and accelerator cable on RC vs the Duke since there is less layers of exposed cable to go through....

Next issue i have is with the Battery. The display shows Low battery warning on occasions I do not know why. Even warning light glows and few minutes later the error goes away. Common thing with a ECU is it should show the error in history, but when diagnostic tool is used it did not show up....

i have a doubt on this: A ride from Madras to Knayakumari and to Kerala (in India). I had arrived my destination and when showing off the motorcycle i forgot to switch the display off .

Yes the battery did not like and turned flat , the next day i had to charge it back up to full charge... Since then any time the motorcycle is on for more than 3 min without engine the above error shows up...

any Specialist here to help me out... should i worry about it?

Exclamation Air Box crack RC 390

The next Warranty claim was Air Box. The thing that is below the seat and fuel tank. At first i believed it was ok then later after my friend had explained that the air box should not open up like this..
Taken it to KTM(with my friend support) and 8 months later the part had arrived for installation under warrenty...

Though this crack was there there is a notice able loss in bottom end pick up it is very mild loss. The engine breather pipe also joins to the box hence the oil flow from the box...
( I thought it was mind playing monkey with me) but i rode a D390 (a friends duke) and noticed that it was very mellow on bottom end almost no shuddering when under-gearing it when i checked the air box it had same crack like mine ( bike is 2 yrs old)

this actually happens to vehicle that has done more than 6200miles (10000 km) at least that is my diagnosis. If you have warranty claim it from KTM

till i received the replacement it is advised not to stuff/cover or use sealant on the area.( KTM will void the warranty)

hope this will help with you guys n gals

Exclamation The Radiator fan

Yes as most had switched from OEM fan to SPal fan are fortunate. I am not since i have switched from OEM to OEM to OEM, yes that is correct on my third radiator fan . (by Kinetic India)

Just a info for all. Symptoms are low fan speed and then high(first batch of RC390 had low n high fan speeds) speed fan and spins only one way clock wise.
Actual fan should always spin at high speed only.

another is When there is proper coolant level also there is consistent stalling of engine while riding.
