This remark is definitely incorrect. Mine gaps over 2.5mm and switches just fine. When unable to avoid a pothole at 70-80 km/h the stand is forced down against the spring tension. This is when my engine is cut.

Thanks - mine cuts if i rev it enugh evan when am at a complete stop...

In all honesty I think you might have a different issue, not caused by the stand cut-off mechanism.

They are going to check the fuel presure as a next step.


They say it may be a fualty fuel pump.

Hello all,


Wanted to update that after two weeks at the dealers, the Pickup Coil has been replaced.


This coil is responsible for providing the timing signal to the ignition control box.


I still need more time to test if the problem is finaly gone - will keep updating.

Hi all - after riding the bike in the last few days, it seems to me the issue is now solved. the Pickup sensor was the problem.

Mine was replaced but the KTM mentioned that it had small metal flakes on in from the break in period (as its a magnet).

He mentioned these probably interfered with the sensor signal.

So - if any of you have this issue and its not solved otherwise, look into this sensor.
