If you are in the UK l’ve got a brand new genuine Exide Duke 390 battery that you can have for £20.
I live near to Stockport, Cheshire if by some miracle you live near enough to collect it.
I imagine postage will make it too expensive but you are welcome to see what the cost would be, happy to pack it for collection by a courier.
Weight is 3.6KG

Thanks for the offer but I'm in Belfast unfortunately. I was look at getting a lithium ion battery to replace the standard one has anyone fitted one and can recommend if they are worth the extra cost

Hi Graham,

I have fitted a Li-Ion in both my Dukes.
An 11A/h Magneti Marelli in the 200 and a 12A/h W-standard in the 390
I live in the tropics so never any problems due to cold weather and as such no experience with this possible negative in the Li-Ions.
The Magneti Marelly is the same size as the OEM batt but much lighter.
The W-standard is a lot smaller (I needed space to put my PowerTRONIC unit) and of course also a fraction of the OEM weight.
Overall I am happy with both here in the tropocs.

As long as you are happy with what you ride.

The only real advantage with a lithium battery that it makes the bike 3kg lighter

Get your battery replaced. Before that, make sure your battery is being charged properly at the terminals. It can be a faulty magnet coil which would not provide the power necessary to charge the battery, and hence a low battery warning. But first, start off with a new battery.

Cheers!

Hello,

I'd say he can check this by measuring potencial differential in the terminals. With bike on he must read 14V. If not, something is not as it should.

Cheers
