Exhaust muffler broken brackets

Today I've noticed this issue on my 2014 Duke...
As far as I know, this isn't a common situation.
Have any of you guys been into this before? How 'weldable' is this bracket material?

Welding the OEM exhaust should not be a problem.
Members on here had theirs cut in half, removed the cat and welded back together.

As long as you are happy with what you ride.

Hello all,

I've ended up buying an used muffler from a 2016 bike, and replaced the original.

Interesting details, the newer model has reinforced brackets, this is more welding and more material working as bracket.

The sound is also different, a bit more muffled in the newer one, perhaps (?) in part due to the fact it had only 2.5k km of use against the more than 20 of the stock one...
