I donít like backpacks too much. As I drive - usually alone - around 60miles north to be able to go off-road without paying for it (thank you New Jersey)... that means I am alone in the woods, too, for some time... therefore...

- Med Kit
- Tools, JD Weld, Wire
- Tire Plugs
- Small Electric air pump
- Tire change stuff with tubes in case plugs donít work
- Rain gear
- Just put some clothes for layering in it today as it gets cooler
- Tarp 6sqm
- Rope
- Some granola bars
- Water
- Hammock
- Fire starter
- bathing stuff
- 2 big microfiber towels
- 2nd pre-paid phone
- Solar Panel to charge electronics in case bike is dead
- Knife
- Some Single Malt Scotch
- Toilet paper...

... not sure what else. All packed in waterproof bags. Easy to remove when home and going for grocery shopping.

Cabinets- see above.

Those are Pirelli Rally STR. 150/70 17 in the back, and unfortunately a 120/70 in the front. Couldnít get the 110 in time before the long weekend.

I feel like running out of tire on the road in the twisties with the back, but grip is still fantastic. The front one - maybe due to being a 120 instead of a 110 - needs way more work on the road than the OEMís. Once leaned in, itís like a weird feeling similar to a train, stuck to the path chosen. Needs effort to correct your lane... not sure how to explain differently. But still feels very confidence inspiring all the time, so no Biggy. Just need to get used to I guess.

Oh dear, from Elephants to Knobbies. I wish I had mine posted too. I did scratch the Jumbo's ass mildly here and there on both the sides, but nothing more than that. It's nice to see this thread.

Cheers!

Bike looks way different with those tires, and looks great! Have you driven in the rain with them yet? Just curious how they'll behave compared to the OEM ones?

Just for a little when I put them on new, so not really a good feedback yet. All the reports I read about them is that they are top notch in rain, but nothing goes over testing yourself, right?!

Back to elephants, then! I am settling in to the Duke at 450 miles now, getting comfortable in the corners.

On the knobby topic, I am thinking of returning my KLX250S back to the factory wheels with Avon Distanzias for when I want to go on some trails. (Right now it's got a supermoto setup with Conti Attack SMs but with the Duke now in the garage the KLX is getting neglected...)

You bet, the Duke says it is up for hotter entry in to the corners, but my riding ability does not.
