RhinoMoto Bar Ends and CRG Hindsight Mirrors

This is mostly a shout-out to RhinoMoto. I really wanted to add CRG Lanesplitters, but I was looking for a clean and simple way to do it without cutting or drilling the bars.

RhinoMoto makes these wonderful bolt-on bar-ends/weights/sliders that replace the factory bar ends. And they have a groove in ‘em for CRG mirrors.

Couldn’t have been easier, and the quality is top notch (also true of the CRG mirrors).

thanks, I've been looking for this kind of thing for my RC390.

Do you have any pictures of the whole bike with these on?

do you think they could be put on so they are inside the width of the bars? or would that end up having your arms obscure your view?

I can snap a picture tomorrow of the whole bike. I assume you mean a shot of the bars from the riding position?

You might be able to mount certain mirrors on the inside (though I’d guess that would mess up the view), but these particular mirrors are made to fold back (hence the name Lanesplitter) when you’re in tight places. As lane splitting is legal here, that’s largely why I chose these. So I’m pretty sure there’s no way. Some mirrors (Rizoma comes to mind) mount inside and on top (or bottom).

thanks!

the stock mirrors on my bike are partially obscured by my arms, and worse so when I wear proper riding gear.

Then you will love bar end mirrors. If they’re adjusted right, nothing obscures them, and your field of view is much better than stock.

Here’s a cockpit picture if that helps.

And another whole bike picture.

I should have taken another with the mirrors folded back. They’re hinged, so they fold back 90 degrees, if you can picture that.

I like them but I’m thinking underneath and pointing in. Otherwise they’d be permanently folded for filtering and absolutely useless when I need them.

I hear what you’re saying; this is still a trial for me.

In reality, I don’t think this setup is any wider than the stock mirrors. And the stock mirrors are right at the height of most van/truck mirrors. Plus there’s no option to move those out of the way. With these out, I can still filter most places.

The problem is that mirrors mounted inboard are always either obscured (on top) or hard to see (on bottom).

No perfect solutions.
