Lowering seat height for Duke 390

I am in the process of lowering my seat height for my 2022 Duke 390 by 35MM. I did this once before when I had a Ducati Monster 1100 and I recall I had to loosen the chain, because the process of lowering, takes up slack on the chain. Has anyone lowered their 390 Duke and did you need to adjust the chain after lowering? My bike has about 1,000 miles and the chain has not stretched at all, so I do not have a lot of loosening available to me.

I think chain tension whilst lowering your seat height has more to do with the way your swing arm moves around the engine sprocket. I guess you are using dog bones or similar to lower the 390. It may or may not behave like your Ducati. I would have thought its easiest to loosen the chain when dropping anyway, so the slack will be apparent when you re tension the chain.

Just as important watch your side stand position when the bike is lowered , the bike may sit up a lot more.

I lowered my 2020 Duke 390 with the T-Rex Racing kit (LINK) and my chain didn't get appreciably tighter or looser.

Both good comments. Good to hear you did not need to adjust the chain. The chain on my Ducati Monster got noticibly tighter. Thanks for both inputs !
