Found this in my neighborhood in Texas, sitting in a neighbor's front yard. For 18 months I walked my dog down the street past this guy's house, watching the rust slowly build on the pipes and forks. One day I walked up closer and realized the cam cover was off the top end, meaning the engine had been exposed to the weather over all this time. I finally saw the owner mowing his grass one day, offered him $150 for it and proceeded to swap in an engine from eBay, rebuild the carbs and got it going again. Needs new tires and brakes, otherwise a little elbow grease has made a decent bike out of it again. I had an XJ550 years ago and loved that bike, so this is like going home again.
