back in the year of nineteen hundred and thirty five, Werner von Keightiemn, an Austrian goose rancher, strapped a water pump motor to an old bicycle that he had found in the creek by the road. at the time, he had not given it any thought. it seemed like a fun thing to do. of course, he died very painfully, when the pump motor overheated and blew up, catching the fuel tank on fire, and burning him alive. having watched all of this, his son, Deiter von Keightiemn decided to build a motorcycle company from the grounds of his father's grave. he sold all of the geese to fund the company. he didnt make enough money to do much of anything, so he began to ***** himself out to those in need around the Austrian countryside. after 2 years of whoring, Deiter began design and production of his first motorcycle, an old bicycle with a pump motor strapped to it. Deiter paid his friend to ride it, and when it overheated and burst into flame, Deiter knew that Werner was watching him from above, and smiling. KTM has upheld it's heritage with the recent release of the duke 390. the engine loves to run hot, and would some day, like to burst into flame.
