KTM Power Parts Engine Cage will not protect the radiator on a Duke.
But it will if you use additional sliders on front and rear with a stronger handlebars. I recommend cage over a slider mounted behind the tank - not at all suitable for stunting.
I have that cage on my 21. First off run a tap through the threads! Leave all bolts loose, maybe try changing which one you leave out to get things the closest. Then I had to use a little pry bar to line things up while another person works on starting last bolt. Piece of cake. Lol.....
There is powdercoat in the top thread. The lower bolts shouldn’t need it as they are reusing the engine mountings. I’ve not had any reason to run a tap through the engine mounting bolts but I wouldn’t rule out poor installation at the factory in some bikes.
Not necessarily true. I’ve high sided mine with no damage to the radiator. It does depend though on your protection setup and I do recommend the cage as the starting point.

I am not planning to do stunts, so I went for something a bit less visible. I went for crash bobbins from bagoros and ktm sliders for both sides. I have also changed the handlebars ends to orange from ktm powerparts. In the front I have crash pads for the fork, also from KTM powerparts.
