Soooo.... Need some help for the rear tyre... I use my ktm for daily used, so.. I wanna change it to 160/60, just for looks.. Cuz its look good wit the bike But when i read all the comments...it will cost u some performance, such as top speed, n other things... So should i just stick wit 150?

 

Mine is running at 160/60 and I couldn't tell any difference on the performance, and even the appearance...Just a better feeling for myself, haha.

Yes it would be possible. will handle much better . I did that to my duke.

 

Are you asking because you want to impress people with a wider rear tyre or do you think the wider tyre will improve handling? I suspect you are leaning towards the first and not considering why KTM intentionally chose a tyre which is normally fitted to sports bikes.

 

Currently riding a 160/60 and I love it. I’m on a gpr right now and that’s the only reason I don’t like it. But I want to get a 160 in a road 6. People say it hurts mobility, I think it gives you more performance because you have more security in those hard leans at higher speeds. To make it feel as aggressive you have to be going faster, but overall the bigger tire gives and easier ride.

 

I use 140/70 at the back. Also bit bigger than the standard size.
Less wide, so doesn't make cornering heavier.
