When I bought my first Gen 390, I did the first 1,000 km in 4 days. Remember that breaking in/running in a new engine it is advisable to vary the RPM's rather than running it only at 1 rev range.

Hi I just bought a new one two and had a two hour ride home. I avoided the motorway and took the B roads just to make sure I did not ride ata constant 6,000rpm. For best run-in I would suggest a varied rpm range and engine load for the first 1000km.
