I know I have to add a little motor oil. Now, when my bike is standing, I just about see the oil in the bottom of the oil window.
I bought a 50cc syringe to be able to measure the oil exactly.
Does anybody of you know how much difference it is between:
  • bottom of oil window
  • min level mark
  • max level mark
  • top of oil window

Without any info I guess I would add 50cc and see how far it goes. But I am sure some of you have experience how much oil has to be added.
The oil window and min and max marks are shown in the manual in section 18.1 on page 199.

Thanks

I think I end up with 1.7L of oil at the end... I don't exactly recall. You have to do it not on a rear stand, tilt the bike hard left and right to get all the oil into the pan, and then angle it straight up to see what the oil level is at.

It will be a bit of a hassle as when you start with 1.5ltr (regular fill in the 200's) you need to run the bike, stop it, wait a minute or so and then check the glass. Not showing? add 50cc and repeat the process till you reach the min. line.
Than continue 50cc-run-wait-check till reaching the max. line and tell us ;) 1.7ltr is the correct fill for the 390 as per manual and personal experience.
