This is a forum for fcks sake.. you either ask how to fix **** or if this part from that bike fits this bike.. Id fuken agree with your thought if it were an undamaged or new fully faired bike and ya mommy and daddy gives ya money for a new bike anytime you want it then why would you mod your bike, right? this aint the case braaah.. KTM released the adventure 390 with an cast alloy wheels but due to popular demand they are now selling spoke wheels for the bike.. see just because somthin came from the factory doesn’t mean its only meant for what you think it does.. did you think dirt bikes just appeared out of thin air.. naaah it was due to lots of people turnin their old triumphs in the 60’s into scramblers just to get through rough terrains and that rebirthed(edited) the dirtbike category, 60 years later motorcycle companies are releasing scrambler motorcycles.. now let me ask a rhetorical question for you why just make a new dirt bike or a honda africa or something.. why.. why.. why the **** would they build a bike that resembles an old dirt bike but works like a naked bike but needs mods to go off road like a dirt bike???.. the answer because they fucken can and so can we..Heed your own advice and post when you have the answer
Hate to interrupt a rant but when bikes were first developed they pretty much only had tough terrains to get through. I appreciate the Triumph fanboys would love ownership of the scrambler concept but the Harley Sportster is so named because it was used to race in enduro races and that was developed out of the US Army bike which by definition ran a lot off road. Dirt bikes were available in the Sixties anyway.did you think dirt bikes just appeared out of thin air.. naaah it was due to lots of people turnin their old triumphs in the 60’s into scramblers just to get through rough terrains and that birthed the dirtbike category, 60 years later motorcycle companies are releasing scrambler motorcycles..
True.. harleys were indeed used offroad way before the 60’s but thats because most of the roads outside the cities back then we’re underdeveloped and are barely paved and they were forced to walk those roads.. well modern harleys nowadays can still go offroad only it wont survive a enduro trail.. and about the dirtbike thing I shouldve said rebirthed(my bad) dirt bikes were invented early in the 1900s but weren’t present till they were rebirthed in the 1940-60 era(sorry bout that, I just read that **** in an article I forgot to include 40’s)..offroading Bikes were done earlier but scramblers were invented by the brits in the 60’s (David this you? Aren’t ya British? 😂 I apologize in advance if I’m wrong).. In fact I can vividly remember reading something years ago that a British announcer during a offroad motorcycle race said something about “a scramble” or somethin and thats when they called them scramblers(correct me if Im wrong I still cant find that article).. and then the legend steve mcqueen popularized it even further.. apologies if the comments look ranty.. feel free to correct my statements..Hate to interrupt a rant but when bikes were first developed they pretty much only had tough terrains to get through. Hello
The stock KTM duke 390 forks are not adjustable and very stiff . I need more travel + softer . I need more ground clearance + softer travel for mild or light offroading .
Has anyone converted the front End shocks of Duke 390 to 690 Enduro forks ?
Or any other way to increase the front end height , add atleast 3-4 inches softer travel ?
Any thoughts ,suggestions or links , conversions appreciated .
NOTE :I have already install R6 rear monoshock .
Hi, I am using wr250 forks on my ktm, with a 19 inch spoked wheel in the front. Works like a charm. The bike is a but taller but handles well. I have done a couple of motocross events on the same as well. ( won a couple of them too) .Hello

Cedardrew, any chance you are still on this forum? What size TKC80's are you running? The Duke already has above average suspension travel with 150mm at both ends, but the stock suspension is horrible. The rear is harsh and the front end sags a huge amount. My forks dropped 75mm with me and gear on the bike. I've swapped to an R6 shock and now have some stiffer fork springs on the way. Handled the dirt very well with just the R6 shock but the front bottomed out way too easily which is why I've got for upgraded springs. They haven't arrived yet though so I'll have to report back.
