Made a video on changing out the ignition cable to a higher quality cap and cable setup. Overall, it feels smoother and seems to pull harder on low and mid-range areas. I'm looking into ways to provide a measurable data point that can be used to show if there is any actual improvement (Other than just riding the bike.)

I wonder if the 2017+ has the same coil? Also does the rubber ring is really a necessary or the NGK silicone cap is already a quite tight fit to keep the dirt, water, etc away?

Lovely! I did contemplate this for a while now, call me lazy, as I really am. Appreciate you taking the time to do and share. From my prior experience, the coil lead replacement along with the plug cap, do make a difference.

Cheers!

It will not work for 2017+(at least not that kind of easy way). As the cable has been glued into the coil and therefore you cant turn it out. Therefore, I recommend to use the NGK plug wire connector.
