For the past two months I have been enjoying a LaZer Monaco, the best helmet I have owned in over 40 years of riding. I have the Pure Glass model, the second lightest modular helmet on the market, after the Monaco Carbon. The Lumino photochromic visor has to be the best new piece of helmet technology in recent years. It is astonishingly wonderful! Best vision from a helmet ever! Outstanding helmet at a reasonable price.

So I've always been a big fan of Scorpion helmets ever since I started riding. They fit me perfectly and comfortably (big fat cheeks), the do super well in all types of crashes (I unfortunately know first hand) and I love how they rarely fog up on me. I think the only time they did was during a super rainy, windy, 30 degree ride to the coast. As much as I love how my Shark helmet looks way cooler with my bike, I was hella happy when I found Scorpion's new design that just came out. Not only does it have dragons but it has ninjas and samurais! HECK YEAH! Just got it today and love love love it!

GRichard, Shark (an established and well-reputed French company) makes some outstanding helmets (I have one). But the "Raw" line is decidedly not their best work - gimmicky, with emphasis on looks rather than function. If you like Shark, suggest you check out their very successful "Vision" line. If it's the "Darth Vader" look you crave, try the Roof Boxer pictured above. BTW, no need to buy a Shark at inflated prices from an EU vendor: Revzilla in Philadelphia carries the whole Shark line.

Ride safe, wear good gear.

Hi Folks,

Here's a shot of my two new helmets. The following are NEXX brand helmets which are handmade in Portugal. The first one (White) is 100% Carbon Fiber, one of the lightest on the market. The other is a tri composite also made by NEXX. I'm really liking the feel and the look of these helmets. They are very highly rated and amongst the safest out there. I spoke to some insiders who say that they are equal to or better than the big names out there. The problem is they cost more to make but they retail for less than the big names so the stores don't want to carry then due to the lower profit margins for them! What that means is a more unique helmet for me at a better price than the big boys while still being different and unique in my opinion.

BTW, if there is anyone in the GTA (Toronto) area interested in these helmets let me know i can source them direct from the license holder in Canada which means a great deal for you. They have all kinds of helmets even their modulars are outstanding.

Dig the Carbon.
I'm not in the market for a new lid right now, but PM me the $ on the Voyager - it might be worth a consider as an auxiliary.
