Hi all,
Appologize if my post/query has been raised before. Need urgent help. Me helping fren here. He weight 240lbs. He interested in duke200 and the budget is too tight to go for duke390.

Will duke200 deliver good power to someone weight of 240lbs or 109kg?

Thanks.

The 200 revs harder than the 390 and works the gears faster, so it would probably be ok. As always best to test ride.

best thing to do is test ride

the 200 isn't quick to start but it really depends what people consider quick or what they want out of their motorbike.

also consider that for the same price maybe they can get a higher displacement motorcycle with another brand?

Wife and I are just over that weight together (~115kg) and while the 390 handles okay two-up, you're pedalling it along with the gear lever to get any hustle out of it. The 200 would be completely bogged down, I suspect.

How often are you riding 2-up? Do you hate riding 2-up due to the extra weight?

Not all that often. It's just the occasional weekend ride out for a coffee or down to the beach.

Even though my wife is a very good pillion, I'd never ride two-up the way I ride solo, so the extra weight doesn't really bother me much.

That said, the bike is a bit more stable in corners with a few extra KGs pinning it down.

D200 has a softer front and rear suspension, you can try to adjust the weigh of the rear sus. Or just change to an aftermarket rear sus. I'm 80kg .. D200 is too soft for me. D390 is just nice... abit harder would be better. Just IMHO.

Dan1, thanks bro.

Dukeitout, hes comparing D200 and Z250. But then hes more into duke.

Gregorgre, hes big size. Double my size.. Me weight 63kg. Haha

Phil, my fren here is well informed abt the soft suspension of D200. I witnessed the bike lowered down too much when he sat on the said bike. The best is that ill try to convince him to go D390.
