Dear members,
Please be suspicious of anyone replying to a request for spare parts you may post to the forum.
An ever-increasing NEW MEMBER, members offering stuff you have asked for and just have become a member of the forum only to reply to your request, proof to be scammers.
A couple of red warning signals are:

has just (or very recently) become a forum member.
has names ending with a 3 to a 5-digit number.
will ask you to send an email to one of their friends.
as soon as you react will turn to Private Messages.
will request payment with PayPal F&F (not secure).

Several members have recently been scammed so please do report when any of the above happens to you so admins can take swift action.
Please note that the forum is in no form/way responsible for losses to any/all of these spammers.
Be vigilant.

I just received an email, from a member I can not even prove exists...

indicating a conversation has been started with me that also(?) does not exist.

It appears another 1 bit the dust, this time at a now banned ex-member Jpainter187.
Please do not deal with anyone having a member name ending at a 3 to 5 digit number
Is seems these are on the forum for one purpose only.

That's weird. I bought a spare cat pipe from him a while back.

I still have all his info, address and phone (cell) number, in my discussions panel, from the transaction.
And I used that info to send him the payment via Zelle, and everything about the whole transaction was legit and smooth.

That was on Dec 17, 2022.
Let me know if you need his contact info KTMasean.
Of course, I'm only offering it because you are, afterall, the admin (a trustee). I won't be releasing that to anyone else, of course.

I won't bother following up on all people on here who should not be on here in the first place. Too many opportunists around.I check the claim, ask the spammer to get back to me and when not done so within a reasonable time span the account is deleted.

I hope you understand, this is a voluntary position and not a cyber policing post.

Quite frankly, I had no preconceived notions, none at all, about the [potential or non-existent notoriety] of putting up with the best and worst of us all lol. 😂

But i knew somebody had to be doing it... and it was never gonna be me.

And just for the record, Happy Birthday -- said on account of, it seemed like lately, just maybe, someone must've forgotten to tell you when they should've.

I mean, it's in your handle, asean, what you stand for...
