Hi all
I downsized from a Triumph Tiger 1050 to the new 390 Duke reasoning that as the maximum legal speed limit in the UK is 70mph having a bike that could do that speed in 2nd gear wasn't a good way to keep my licence
I've owned my Duke for 6 months now , have enjoyed every single ride and wouldn't swap back :D

Hear Ya! (But I still miss the Triton that I brung back to Canada from the U.K. in the winter of '68. I even miss the 69 Bonny that I bought from the first bikeshop that I worked at in this country. (That Bonny was a good bike- it always got me home.(The part number of the cams in that thing, were E3134. The cam followers, were E3059. And the drive chain was a 110056).
You may not have done yourself a favour by getting the Duke. I have had mine up to 165 kpm a few times- and I still had some throttle! Haha! (That is more than enough to get me tossed so far behind bars, that they have to pump air into me..)
This Duke 390 just likes to run. It is stable at speed, but it does not like crosswinds. It's ABS is a godsend! The fact that it has a sub 400 cc motor, places it in a reasonable insurance rate. And it's fuel consumption is very decent.
It is the perfect urban motorcycle. (Will be able to tell you, how it fares on a coast-to-coast, later on this year.
Good bike! (This one is a keeper.)
