Just did a deep dive installing PCV, airbox mods, suspension and other bit on my 2017 Duke 390 (USA) which is just past break in and have to say that over half of the bolts/screws took no effort to get off and after barely a 1/8 turn spun out with light fingers. About 5-10% were actually already loose due to not enough tolerance to bind well.

Only the engine, fork and subframe to frame bolts were rock solid and likely from the (signs of) factory locktite.

Not a surprise I know but for those riders not doing anything where you get much below the plastics, it wouldn’t hurt to run a torque wrench around the bike now and then.

I just noticed how loose my upper fork bolts were....well not loose...but not as tight as the lowers. With all the weird stuff I'm learning about ktm I'm getting worried lol. I'm planning on a check and retorque this weekend.

I have all ready broken some of them! Its unbelievable how soft they are (and what an idiot am I)

My goal is to eventually replace them all. I can tell you from experience that the head isn't much better, I was torqueing down to spec the cam cradle with a torque wrench and it pulled the threads right out of the head..... I mean it's like 8 ft lbs and it pulled the threads out! I ended up drilling it out and loctighting a helicoil in there. 10k miles later and its still going strong lol.
