If you were putting together a tool kit to cover all your bases for wrenching on a 390, what all would you include? Do these bikes use a lot of torx screws? Allens? What sizes?

I just want to get some super high quality hand tools from Wera or similar for all the specific fasteners. Obvious stuff would be sockets in 6, 8, 10 and 12; spark plug gauge and gap tool, feeler gauges for valves, etc.

From just doing the maintenance, mostly everything is metric allen. I'd get shallow and maybe deep allen sockets as a lot are recessed.
Oh and a set of allen keys.

I would try to ask KTM directly. Maybe ask them if they have a toolkit, maybe designed/recommended for their service centers. If you know what's included then you know what you want.
A start is obviously looking at the mini toolkit under the seat. Just get those in high quality.

In addition to what everyone said, I'd get sockets up to 17mm, and also whatever is the size of the larger rear wheel axle nut. Plus absolutely necessary to have a quality torque wrench.

I also benefited from a breaker bar (for that same larger rear wheel axle nut).
