Installed heated grips from 990 adventure...

Excepting the grinding/paper sanding of the stock gas grip sleeve, everything was quite straight forward...

Kicked out a rusty screw and replaced it by a new CHC A2 70 M5x50 paired with a custom EDM cutted INOX washer!

Finally got time to change the oil. Odometer is on 11,000ish miles, so around 5k since I changed the blown head gasket & put in a thinner one along with some other mods. Oil was pretty dark, so I am going to start changing it a bit earlier. But she runs a bit smoother with some fresh Motul 5100 15w50 in it. Also was expecting some debris in the screens from the motor work, but they were surprisingly clean.

Still a clunky sounding motor, but then again....... so is my buddie's brand new RC390 with only 700 miles on it.

New chain and sprockets. Still waiting for chain guards, but the last couple days have been so nice, I just had to go without. After doing one tooth up in the front for a year, wanted to try one tooth down. I know, not exactly good for the chain, but it was an experiment. Love it.. it is so dirt bikey. Once it is all back together, I will have to decide if the lower gearing suffices for longer rides. Sure is lots more fun on the short rides.
