d373, i managed to find out that the local dealer for chiaravalli indeed has the front sprocket for Duke 390. The part number is 4110K compared to the duke 200 which is 4106K. It cost about SGD$50. I spoke to them about Australian buying and he says that he does ship to you guys. He currently has the 14t and 15T in stock Anybody who is interested can contact them directly at

their shop number is +6567471477 if you prefer to speak to them

Austin exhaust sounds good - a bit deeper and less sharp-edged than some others. How does it affect your fuelling - ie, A/F ratio? Leaner than stock? Do you have a piggy?

Put ours away, and the 8, for the season. 3 oz's of Stabil, topped gas tank, rode 3 miles to storage shed. Pulled the seats and batteries, got them off the ground, waxed and covered and locked up.

See ya in March!! Pisser is, the weather is still pretty decent, but I have too much on my calendar to push it any longer.

Yeah you are right I have only heard one or 2 other exhausts that have a nice deep tone, most of them make the 390 sound like a little 200 or 125 without a muffler at all, very high pitched sound typically
The 390 is a fairly large single cylinder so it should sound much like a 450 MX bike as the motor is very similar, I have not heard any that sound remotely like that
Still playing round with the DB killers to get the best sound & keep it quiet, I will end up with 3 options

1. Super quiet DB killer
2. Sporty fairly noisy DB killer (as heard in the video above)
3. Full open.....well very very loud = race bike LOL

Very early days & this was actually the very first ride with the new exhaust, I will be getting the Akra remap at some point, it does not seem to be running lean or doing anything it shouldn't for now though, if it was running full open / no DB killer it might cause trouble

The Akra remap made a huge difference on my 1290 Superduke so I will go with that

I finally installed some upgrades! I got the KTM Ergo seat, and Ebay levers, bar end mirrors, and radiator cover. I also cut a hole in the stock exhaust to make the exhaust note much more pleasing to my ear and more noticeable to other vehicles. Performance seemed the same the best the seat of my pants could tell. It only sounds 1 million times better IMHO:

In before OMG you must get your bike tuned before it explodes or you lose 50% power due to the 1x1 inch hole in the stock exhaust ;) Fuel delivery, dyno, and the Werkes exhaust is coming come tax time.

Ran out of fuel...

Today, while riding to work it happened, engine died on me while going up on a slope. My fuel gauge is VERY unreliable - usually it shows empty after 100 miles or so and I usually put about 1.7 gal of fuel until full. So this time around I thought I can at least do 140 miles on the tank. Well, it stopped running at about 127.7 miles. I had to push the bike to the gas station, about a mile - was quite the cardio workout, especially pushing it up on a hill. I only managed to put 2 gallons of gas in the supposedly empty tank - which as I can recall, should have a capacity of 2.9gal. So what's up with the extra .9 gallons? Not enough to run the bike? Or did the system just shut down on me on purpose?

Either way, I wish it had a bigger tank. But at least I know the limit now, no more riding above 100miles. :serious:

Do the levers hit other fingers if 2 finger pull ?

Removed power parts handguard and pilion cover (for sale section) fitted led handguard and de-stickered bike
