I'm in the market for a 2017 KTM Duke 390.
My local dealership (1 hour away) quoted me a $5466.50 out the door price, with a $2870 trade offer for my 2009 BMW G650GS. ($2596.50 out the door price if I take the trade).
I feel that I could get $3800 for the Beemer if I sell it privately, as it's in great shape overall. Worst case maybe $3500.
Another dealership, 2 hours away, quoted me an out the door price of $4980.00 a difference of $486.50.
So I am going to respond to my local dealership and tell them I have a better offer elsewhere and see what they can do. I didn't ask the dealer that is 2 hours away about a trade.
I am in the United States, in Pennsylvania, btw.
So what do you think is a fair price to pay right now?
