people talking about grip glue and the like.

We use/d hair spray for years(from the BMX-MX-MC days), spray on bars wet, it acts like a lube, easy to slide the grips on, then as it 'sets', it holds them in place.
Another option?

The thing about hair spray, is that it's water soluble. "Goop" glue, like almost all glues are a pretty good lubricant for the first few seconds.

It's a shame that the weather has turned sour. I'd like to get out and ride!

That's funny.
I thot they were there to give me another place to rest my paws, when i wanted a bit more leverage coming down from speed into the corner.
